[My computer is being futzy so no picture today]
How are we doing, this first day back (for most of us) after a holiday weekend? I'm always excited for you guys to go back to work, not only because most of my editors will be back and we can get on with things, but also because the gym will be empty again.
Yes, I know, resolutions, but the weight room around 10am is my jam…when you're all at your desks.
Speaking of resolutions, my buddy A.C. Shilton wrote a great piece for Men's Journal targeted at anyone in the gym this month. Be nice to the new people, gym rats. We were all newbies once.
I don't make resolutions, but I do make running goals so I have something to get me out the door for the rest of the winter and spring. I'll share those next week.
If you read last week's newsletter, you know I've had some car trauma. Can you believe it's still not over? Something went wrong with the repair (my mechanic thinks) and it had to go back to the dealership that did the work – yes in Jersey City. I get a call about what happened today. So if you have some good thoughts to throw my way over something as stupid as not wanting to pay another $1,000 toward a car repair, I would appreciate it.

What I'm Reading
I liked the A Night to Remember, the Tessa Dare book I read last week, and rolled into 2017 with Jason Koop's Training Essentials or Ultrarunning.
What I'm Watching
Of course I watched the new episode of Sherlock. I want to watch it again to see what I missed, but I'm trying to cram in The Hollow Crown before it's taken of the PBS app. Lots of Brits flying around here these days. I don't mind.
