It is a supremely busy week around here at the offices of Jen A. Miller. That's because it's New York City Marathon week, and even though I'm not running this year, I'm doing a bunch of things around it (I was supposed to be in the Shut In Ridge Run in N.C. on Saturday, but I borked my foot in the 50K and had to halt my training, and therefore drop out. My foot is much better now and I'm still on track to run the Philadelphia Marathon, so full steam ahead once again).
Here's what I've got going on:
Friday, Nov. 2 around 1:40 p.m., I'll be on The Takeaway on WNYC talking about the marathon and a few of my recent New York Times running pieces, including a big one scheduled to run on Thursday. Check out how to listen here.
Friday, Nov. 2 between 4 and 7 pm., I'll be at the New York Times' booth at the New York City Marathon Expo, fulfilling my dream of finally being a booth babe! Just kidding, it's a casual meet and greet where we'll be giving out SWAAAAAAG.
Monday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m., I'm a panelist on "What It's Like to be a Female Athlete Today," a Times Subscriber event being moderated by wonderful fellow New York Times writer Lindsay Crouse, and will also include professional marathoners Allie Kieffer, Steph Bruce, and 2018 Boston Marathon champion Des Linden. I am going to feel so incredibly slow (but I'm also excited to be part of it). Get your tickets here.
I think that's enough for now. More regular newsletter stuff in the next issue!
