Ladies & Gents:
I don't have a huge update today, mostly because I've been SUPER busy with work, and also because last week I was diagnosed with a stress fracture of my tibia. It's not a life threatening injury, but hoooo boy does it stink.
But I do have something to share: I recently took part of Jennifer Goforth Gregory's Annual Marketing Challenge and wound up being the participant to score the most points, so I was asked how I did it. You can read all about it here. Another thing I'll add that has worked really well for me: asking editors if they knew anyone else I should be writing for. I just got an assignment for a new to me client that way today.
What I'm Reading
Yesterday I skipped going to the movies to finish The Women Who Flew for Hitler by Clare Mulley. It's about two women who were pilots for German during WW II who went in completely opposite directions. It's another book too about how Nazisism happened (and how it grabbed onto people and took hold). I also just started The Mistress of Spices by Chitra Banerjee Divakuruni. Will report back in the next newsletter!
What I'm Watching
- The Breaker Uppers. What a fun little moving from New Zealand. I watched it with my mom, which was a mite awkward, but we both laughed.
- Oh, Hello on Broadway. I'm seeing John Mulaney perform next month so I figured I should watch this. It was very up and down, but I'm glad I watched it because the ups were real up.
- DCI Banks. I joked on Valentine's Day that I'd say I was watching a British Murder Show for the occasion, but I spend 80% of my TV time watching British Murder Shows so it's no different than almost any other day.
Until Next Time!
